AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
what we aim to do
So what is philosophy all about?
Philosophy is the study of thinking about the world, the universe and society.
It is done by asking questions about the fundamental issues including nature of human existence, the reality, knowledge and goodness, as well as further discovering them through human reasoning.
What are our objectives?
By hosting various events during the term, the Philosophy Club will introduce Paulinians to:
- Analysing the meanings behind various concepts
- Identifying connections between theories by reasoning them logically
- Evaluating existing arguments and exposing fallacies
What do we aim to do?
As the Philosophy Club, we aim to:
- Increase students' understanding in philosophy
- Train students on critical thinking skills and thinking logical through various activities
- Arouse students' interest in philosophy, as to "think about thinking"
